I've worked in the design and print industry for 25 years, ever since gaining an HND in Information Illustration at Bournemouth College of Art and Design (now The Arts University College at Bournemouth), and have held positions as an Illustration Supervisor, Graphic Designer, and Typesetter. My work has been varied, from designing a monthly magazine to co-ordinating workflow of artwork production within an illustration department. I've been fortunate enough to design material for companies such as The Lancet Medical Journal, Lotus, Peugeot, Aviva, EQ8 Energy Drink, Holiday Inn, to name but a few.

I've also always enjoyed making objects as a hobby and decided to complete a BA (Hons) in 3D design at the University of Plymouth in order to further my knowledge and to put my design skills to practical use. I now make craft objects in addition to my design work (which you can see on my dedicated website: theuglybowl.com if you are interested). I find the two aspects of my work complement each other, with my years of design experience helping me conceptualise my practical creations, and my practical creations lending an element of greater spatial awareness to my pure design work.

I continue to work with well-known design and print companies throughout the UK and I am always glad of the opportunity to work with new clients to enable me to expand on my freelance work and creativity. If you are interested in using any of my services then please feel free to contact me via the contacts page.
